Dr Rita Rani, is a Senior Consultant, Department of Radiation Oncology and has been serving in this hospital for more than eleven years.
At present she is the Principal Investigator for NCDIR/NCRP of Mahavir Cancer Sans than.
She has been instrumental in pursuing the work of NCRP.

National centre for disease information and research (NCDIR)
NCDIR, formerly known as NCRP (National Cancer Registry Program) has provided information regarding cancer in India. It is an initiative undertaken by Government of India.
NCRP has provided information on cancer incidence by sites, morbidity, patterns, mortality, and patterns of care and survival. It plays a critical role in the country’s efforts towards cancer prevention and control.
Our hospital, Mahavir Cancer Sans than is a dedicated Cancer Hospital and it has been attached with NCDIR/NCRP for more than ten years.
Two types of forms are filled provided by NCDIR/NCRP, one being “Hospital Based Cancer Registry” (HBCR) and the other being “Patterns of care and survival studies “ (POCSS) for Information regarding all patients registered in our hospital.
